About Me

Mrs. Turner: I'm Laura Turner. The 9-12 Okoboji Art Teacher. I grew up in Sioux City Iowa with an older brother, Eddie, younger sister, Lindsay, mom, Linda, & dad, Ed. I then moved to Spirit Lake, Iowa where I began and completed my high school education. I received my BA in Art Education from the University of Northern Iowa on December 15th, 2006. I'm certified to teach k-12. I'm now married, 7 years, to Mark Turner. Our son, Max, is 5 years old. I'm now on my eighth year teaching and I'm very thankful and proud to be in this profession. I currently reside in Spirit Lake and am close with my Aunt and Uncle Nancy and Roger Cook. Nancy is a former art teacher where I currently work.
